One of the frequent complaints is “my computer runs slow” or “why does it take so long to start?”
The very first thing that comes to mind is the “Startup programs” on the computer.
When we first got our computer, it started up real fast and getting slower and slower. Over time, we installed apps; these apps startup when we start our computer and run in the background. The more things startup when the computer starts, the longer it takes for the computer ready to serve.
Once we disable the apps that we don’t use, we can improve our PC start time and performance.
Following are the steps to investigate and disable unnecessary startup programs:
Select the Start button, then select Setting
:
In the “Windows Settings” search bar, enter “start” and select
Within the “Settings,” it shows all the different apps that start when starting the computer.
The list is sorted by “name,” “status,” or “impact.” We can look at the list and turn the dial to “off” if that is an App we don’t always use.
By doing so, the “turned off” applications will only consume the computer resources when you need them.
